Takeaways

The OnEBoard Crew used Meet's AI background generator with the prompt "Google AI Gemini".
The results were varied, unpredictable and colorful.
Bob Danley: "Mark [Cuban] was recently quoted in Business Insider as 'I use AI daily for everything from monitoring my health to writing code.' So, you know folks, that's a strong hint that if you aren't using AI you should be, because this guy is very successful and for sure that is again a hint that you should be doing it too."
Bob Danley on Google's AI ecosystem: "... it can be confusing because people use Gemini interchangeably over the vast swath of services or products that Google AI has produced. But it's usually Gemini as the centerpart and then they're added capabilities. So hey, this is Google's AI vision. They want to make AI available for everyone everywhere which is kind of cool. Laptops, smartphones, now even watches. They want to make AI so it's helpful for individuals, transformative for business, cutting edge research-wise, revolutionizing customer and consumer experiences and they want to make it seamlessly integrated with all AI products from the pocket to the cloud."
Nina Trankova: "I personally did vibe coding and our next presentation is a use case of how I coded a web application, so that will be interesting. It's amazing. I never imagined I would code, but I did. So, it's exciting to enter a new skill and learn a little bit from that part ... and I can't wait to finish the next web app. So, you know, appetite comes with food."
Peggy Kolm on access to AI: "... you talked about Google wanting to bring AI to everyone, but it's actually all these tools are not available to everyone. Everyone does not have access to everything. Some of these are paid tools, right? You have to have a subscription, an AI subscription or Google Workspace. And I think that, you know, it it can be frustrating sometimes to read about, oh, this is the latest AI feature in Google products, but actually no, you don't have access to it because you have to be paying $20 a month or whatever it is."
Bob Danley: "You know, it just seems to me like this is a snowball going downhill. You know, it's picking up speed. It's getting bigger every day."
