approach, no place to hide behind to sneak up. For some reason

bird did not flush with my approach...and I had my camera ready."
Had all sorts of luck finding, photographing my first 2025 Western Meadowlark today. Clouds parted with full sunshine. As consequence this bird was singing (www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Wester...) in grassland habitat a mere seventy-five yards from parking spot. Discovery...oh what a feeling 😊
