Bob presented a new Gemini Notebook feature that lets you easily add free textbooks from OpenStax, Open Textbook Library, and other platforms as sources. They cover a wide range of topics in the sciences and humanities.
In your Notebook, open Sources, then click the Textbooks button. Textbooks can be filtered by topic, grade level and country.
Once added as a source, you can use Notebook to create study guides, interactive quizzes, slideshow presentations and more.

Peggy Kolm: Create Shorts from your Videos in YouTube Studio
Peggy shared a new tool in YouTube Studio that lets you create Shorts from Podcasts videos. In eligible countries, there are AI-generated suggested Shorts and video outline.
1. In YouTube Studio on the web, open a Video Details page.
2. Select Clips and Shorts from the left menu
3. Click Create Clip or Short, and select New Short
4. Highlight the section of the automatically-generated transcript to turn into a Short. If available, click a suggested Short or segment from the outline and adjust the start and end points.
5. Click Preview Short. The Short tries to frame the person speaking.
6. Click Captions to customize the caption style.
7. If you are happy with the video, click Create Draft to upload the video to your YouTube channel.
She notes that it's pretty basic, designed for "talking head" videos, and is missing features like transcript editing.
