In this week's Tech Topic, Nina explained new Google Meet host controls for
sharing Notes with Gemini, Bob discussed the new Gemini Guided Learning
features and Peggy shared how to create YouTube Shorts stickers from your own
images.
Nina Trankova: Control Sharing of Meet Meeting Notes
Nina shared a new Google Meet feature that allows meeting hosts to choose who
to share the Gemini-generated meeting notes with.
Instead of all meeting invitees automatically receiving a copy, notes can be limited to just those invited guests within your Google Workspace organization, or only the host and co-hosts.
Nina says: "people who don't join the meeting can receive the notes. So it's up to the internal staff, employees and managers to decide whether the meeting is important for everyone to be in the meeting and present or all the organization can receive the notes from that meeting."

Peggy Kolm: Create YouTube Shorts Image Stickers
Peggy shared a new feature in the YouTube Shorts video editor that lets you
create a sticker for your Short from a photo or other image on your
phone.
Choose the Image sticker option, then select a photo or other image on your device. You can choose the sticker shape, border color, size and position of the sticker.
Peggy notes: "It doesn't have to be a photo of yourself or an object or something. It could be a graphic that you have on your device... I think there's a lot of possibilities there."

Bob Danley: Personalized Instruction with Gemini Guided Learning
Bob explained the new Guided Learning feature in the Gemini app. It breaks down complex topics, uses images and videos and offers feedback to students.
Bob says the tool "is not giving you facts, it's asking you to think critically." It encourages critical thinking by asking probing, open-ended questions instead of just giving answers.
And it is personalized. "The actual Gemini will adjust to what you learn and will constantly be changing the material to make it more effective for your you know learning."
