Bob Danley: Education in the Age of AI

Bob discussed commentator and New York Times columnist Ezra Klein's interview with Rebecca Winthrop, director of the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution.

Bob said: "Remember in recent times people work as machines you know via an assembly line and now machines in the form of AI are working like us. They're they're they're taking over the assembly line. So the fundamental question now is what should education be?"

Peggy Kolm: Voting settings on YouTube playlists

This week YouTube added voting on playlist videos. Peggy demonstrated how to manage voting settings. 

On YouTube on desktop, it's as easy as opening the playlist and clicking the edit pencil. 

Peggy noted :"This is on the desktop. You can also set this up in the YouTube mobile app. It has similar settings there. You can do it wherever you're the most comfortable."

Nina Trankova: Innovative Heat Recovery in Google Data Centers


Overview of Google's data center heat recovery in Hamina, Finland

Nina talked about information she learned at Google Cloud Day in her home city of Sofia about the energy demands of AI and Google's sustainability projects. 

She shared how a Google data center in Hamina, Finland is recovering heat from their servers and letting the local community use it for heating.

Nina says: "I hope you are inspired by this solution."
